UTES OF MEETING
MARCH 26, 2008

NEW DURHAM TOWN HALL
PRESENT: Cynthia Quimby, Fred Quimby, Arthur Hoover, Susan Hoover, Lee Ann Beals
OTHERS PRESENT: Brian Berube from Baysider
TOWN MEETING: The budget for milfoil treatment funding in 2008 was increased to $10,000.00 and passed at the Town Meeting.
TREATMENT FUNDING: Art spoke with the Selectmen regarding changing the funding to an operating expense. At this time they will continue to treat the funding as a capital expense.
MILFOIL TREATMENT PLAN: Ed Neister’s letter and plan for draw down and treatment was discussed briefly. At this point we need to know the best way to utilize the money from the Town. Art will contact Marc Bellaud to let him know that we have the funds available and ask him to come up with a proposal.
Art will invite Marc Bellaud, Ed Neister, Mark Fuller and the Selectmen to attend the next meeting. Fred will invite Amy Smagula.
SURVEYS: Fred will look into doing surveys on other water bodies in New Durham to check for milfoil.
DIVERS: Lee Ann looked into certification classes for divers. There is one course available on August 26th at a cost of $149.00 per diver.
Fred suggested that we come up with some ideas for expansion of the committee. Sue will contact Aline and Tom Goss, members of POW, and ask them if there is any interest in working with our group.
Fred will send a copy of Ed Neister’s letter to Amy Smagula and let her know that we have divers to take the course. We will have a list of questions for Amy at the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00pm. The next meeting will be held at the Town Hall on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 6:30pm.
